Marley Park on August 2nd really is looking like the party of the Summer. Fatboy Slim, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal with the latter 3 acts having some of the biggest Summer hits this year.

This week on Twitter @UnaRocks posed the question if Bonkers was the best song EVER? Not quite sure if its the best EVER but its definitely in the Top 5 of the 21st century!

This week’s Tune of the week is Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Bonkers’!

    David Guetta
    David Guetta

I’m the first to admit I’ve been a bit behind on the music stakes this summer, partly because I’ve been ill BUT I am trying to make up for it now.

For some reason my favourite DJs seem to be French, Bob Sinclar and David Guetta. On probably one of the unexpected collaborations this year, Mr Guetta hooks up with a Destiny’s Child for this, what I can only describe as, SMASH!

I love it, Kelly Rowland’s vocals are amazing and quite frankly its about time she stepped out of Beyonce’s shadow. Fingers crossed David Guetta is playing Marley Park, Dublin on August 2 🙂 happy smiley me there hopefully!

So this week’s tune of the week is ‘When Love Takes Over’ – David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland.

I have to get better at picking tune of the week!

This weekend is Oxegen weekend, I can’t really go to anything like that with the crutches so I’m at home wrapped up nice and warm. It’s pi55ing down here and in Punchestown! On twitter lots of people have said they are on the way home…

In honour of all these poor soaking sods (I like the song too) this week’s Tune of the Week is Blue Pearl’s Naked In The Rain.

I don’t know a whole lot about Blue Pearl.. here’s what Wikipedia say

    Older - George Michael
    Older – George Michael

On this sad day when everyone is paying tribute to Michael Jackson, I thought i’d give it a break and make My hero George Michael, tune of the week.. By the way it was George’s birthday yesterday!

Taken from the album Older, ‘Fastlove’ shot straight to Number 1 in May/June 1996. George fans waited 6 years for the follow up to ‘Listen without Prejudice’ and Older didn’t disappoint!

Great samples, great vocals, great hook, great video..’Fastlove’ is my Tune of the week
