Download: Eye Emma Jedi: Sin (Coucheron Remix)

Eye Emma Jedi’s ‘Sin’ was definitely one of my favourite tracks of 2012. Based in London, Eye Emma Jedi is made up of 3/5 Norweigan members, Alexander Pavelich, Andrew Murray and Andreas Reiten Westhagen and 2/5 Brits Joe Willis and Dan Croll. They met at Liverpool’s Institute of Performing Arts (cheers Macca).

The band are currently recording their debut album in Spain, you can follow their exploits on their Facebook page. So what are you waiting for ? If the download button isn’t showing up, just click through to Soundcloud.

Tune of the Week 04/01/2013: Miles Kane

The moment I heard this new track from Miles Kane, I knew it would be this week’s Tune of the Week. It’s the first new music from Miles since ‘First of my Kind’ last year. Give Up is taken from an EP to be released at the end of February.

I’ve had a soft spot for Mr Kane since we interviewed him in September 2011. He’s a really nice bloke and gives good hugs. (That’s always the test).

This week’s Tune of the Week is a two minute and fifty one second stomper, ‘Give Up’.

Neil Tennant’s Smash Hits Christmas: Radio Documentary

I didn’t get a chance to listen to this at Christmas but I’ve just found it on YouTube and had to share it with you. This is a fantastic documentary which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on December 20.

Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys worked as a journalist for Smash Hits. This documentary tells the story of Neil Tennant’s work in Smash Hits and the journey of Pet Shop Boys early days. Of course the whole thing is backed up by, and I’m not afraid to say it, some of my favourite music ever! Amazing job!
