I love these guys, they blew me away at Camden Crawl Dublin and I can’t wait to see them when they make their return next week. Here is the new video from Clock Opera, it’s ‘The Lost Buoys’ and will be released on November 5th in the UK which means Ireland should get it on November 2nd.

Every week I chose one track to be Tune of the Week, this week it’s the turn of Soft Bullets Soft Bullets are Christopher Wall and Dan Capaldi and the US/UK transaltlantic musical collaboration has kicked off in style. Christopher is based in the UK, while Dan is in Portland.
The pair are due to release an EP entitled ‘Hyperreality’ in November on Township music and as seems to be the ‘in thing to do’ are releasing a series of videos to coincide with the EP’s release. Another Chance is the first of those and is has a beautiful chilled out vibe.
Live, the pair use triggers to make sure that their shows have the same full band sound as their recordings and they are inspired by live performances from the likes of Daft Punk and Justice ‘the intention is to strike a balance between DJ and band – a huge sound but with a much more live focus.’
It’s an interesting little video and shows the duo being duped by a badger, fox and rabbit. This week’s Tune of the week is Soft Bullets with “Another Chance’.
If you’re in the UK the guys are on tour, no word of an Irish date yet.

They’re back. I was delighted when I heard this track last week but I was sworn to secrecy and couldn’t tell you about it.
So here it is, ‘They Pay For Love’ is the first new music we’ve heard from Republic of Loose since 2010’s ‘Bounce at The Devil’ and the awesome track ‘The Blah Bounce’, which I played to death on DCUfm at the time. Absolute cracker.
‘They Pay For Love’ is instantly recognisable as The Loose, funking up everyday situations like wanting to go to the cinema and having to go to the dentist. Only Mick Pyro could do that and make it sound good. Expect this to be sprawled all over your radio.
I’m not sure I could ever work with any of my brothers or sisters. No offence, they’re lovely but I couldn’t see me and them getting along for the duration of a working day. For that reason, when I hear that a musical act are siblings my mind slightly boggles. Enter Enfant, a London based duo comprising of twin brothers, Ali and Robin Owen.
Border of Mexico is their second release and it’s a little bit of a whopper. It features chunky basslines, great vocals and breaks that just want to make you dance. The track builds and builds and instead of dropping, brings you to a level of what I can only describe as a stage of floating, where it subtly prepares you to dance your ass off again.
If there’s any bit of justice in the world, this is be huge. Enfant’s reputation for putting on a great live show has been growing this year, I really want to see them! Party round Ali and Robin’s house?
The bad news? You’re going to have to wait til December 3rd to get your mitts on this.
