This is actually hilarious, Rory Gallagher of Rory and The Island and his buddy playing a version of Jimmy’s Selling Watches, entitled ‘Jimmy’s Winning Matches’ all about Donegal GAA footballer Jimmy McGuinness. This has now had over 55000 hits on Youtube, Massive! It was filmed on a beach in Lanzarote where Rory lives..

Frantic Jack: Soar (Video)
I’m not quite sure if many/any Irish music videos have previously featured jumping out of a plane. Frantic Jack have done it though for their new single Soar. The track is taken from the Edenderry band’s second album ‘Last One To Leave’, which will be out on August 31st. Photo from Facebook

Tune of the Week 10/08/2012: The 1975
I heard this song on Tuesday and I have to say it’s been growing on me since. The band are The 1975, the come from Manchester. They have been playing together for about ten years and seeing as they are between 20-21, that means they’ve been in this band since they were ten!!!The track is taken from the ‘Facedown’ EP and is available now on iTunes

Batman: Dark Knightfall – Stop Motion Short Film
I first have to tell you that I didn’t find this on the interwebs, FStoppers did. I had to share it with you though. This is six minute stop motion animation made with action figures. It was made by Derek Kwok and Henri Wong ofParabucks Co. and here’s the shocker, they say it’s their first attempt at stop motion.
Get a cuppa and watch this, it’s very special. It looks and sounds awesome.
