Well, this world is starting to feel a bit deja vu all over again. Here in London, it looks like we’re going to get more restrictions this week. Wherever you are, look after yourselves.

More amazing choices to be made for this week’s show, which include music from Ireland and the UK. For this week’s #FromTheVault track, we head to 2008 and to Dublin hip hop band ‘The Infomatics’ track ‘Wake Up’

    Enjoy the show!

What an amazing choice I had on this week’s radio show, such is the vast amount of talented musicians that fill our little island. The level of musicianship and production of contemporary Irish music makes me proud. There so much new music emerging, some of it made during lockdown and it’s truly stunning.

The London Ear 309 // Interview with Nick Hampson of Now Ex

Time for this week’s episode of The London Ear. On this week’s show I chat to Nick Hampson of Now Ex about his new single ‘First Light’, his work as a film maker and his experiences of the opera world. As a young fella, Nick was an opera singer before finding the world of film, while studying music.

We also chat about how both creative disciplines are intertwined.

You can find out more about Now Ex on Instagram

This week’s track #FromTheVault is from 2010 and a track I’ve always really liked. It’s a track from Aoife Cleary called US and the US. I wrote a review about it in 2010.
