Nessymon.com has a little bit of a soft spot for Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry. We interviewed Dan shortly before the duo’s gig in Whelans in Dublin last year where, at the gig,  Dan said his interview with Nessymon.com was one of his favourite interviews ever.

Dan was also a member of well known Canadian band Wolf Parade and also Atlas Strategic while Alexei is a writer in her own right.

Nessymon.com wishes the husband/wife team the best of luck for the future.

    DeCode Magazine: May 2012 Issue

The passion and enthusiasm behind DeCode magazine, a new Dublin based Arts and Culture magazine has been growing over the past while. Issue One was released online and issue two was to also be a print version. Alas, the guys involved ran into some trouble with printers and the print issue hasn’t made it out. Not only is that a bit crap but it has also left the guys out of pocket themselves.

Have a read of this wonderful magazine and show your friends, the guys deserve our support.

Oh, I also have a review of Clock Opera‘s album ‘Ways To Forget’ on page 27.

Competition: Win Tickets to The Chevin at Academy 2, May 16th

The ChevinThe Chevin return to Academy 2 in Dublin on May 16th. Last time they played in The Academy, they opened for Airbourne Toxic Event in November 2011. Since then things have gone pretty well for the Liverpool band, who are also opening this week for Franz Ferdinand on their Irish dates. So well in fact that the quartet have already pencilled a date with none other than U.S. television legend, David Letterman for August this year. Their debut single, Champion, had a huge sound and the band recreate it really well live. Their next single ‘Drive’ is due out at the end of the month.

I have a pair of tickets for the gig on Wednesday night, all you got to do is make sure you like my Facebook page and leave a nice comment below.

Competition will close on Wednesday morning at 11am and remember the gig is Wednesday evening so make sure you check your email during the day incase you’ve won. Bon Chance!
