On Sunday I popped in to The Westin Hotel for the #twitterxmassingle recording of ‘Winter Song’ for the deserved cause of the Neo Natal Unit in Holles Street Hospital. The whole thing was organized by Brenda Drumm. When you little back, the croaky voice in the harmonies, yeah that’s me! Tomorrow on the Culture Cafe at 10am on RTÉ 2XM you’ll be able to hear a bit of behind the scenes action.

Last year we nearly had an Irish Christmas number 1 when the country went Rubberbandits mad with ‘Horse Outside’. This year The Saw Doctors have teamed up with 1960’s icon Petula Clark for a reworking of her hit ‘Downtown’. Expect Mammys and Daddys to go nuts over this, making it a contender for the most coveted number 1 spot of the year.. Worth a fiver bet methinks*
