One of my favourite tracks of the year, Bitches with Wolves and Hurricane filmed in Andrew’s Lane. This is the title track from the Hurricane EP which is released on October 14th. One word, Amazeballs!
[Edit I forgot to mention that I interviewed frontman James O’Neill on Arthur’s Day for Goldenplec but I also chatted to him this week for my new radio show, The Shuffle on DCUfm.. he was my first victim guest for ‘A Quickie With’…]
So a trailer has been unleashed for Take That’s expected live DVD and it comes as Robbie Williams announces he’s leaving he band (again).. add all the George Michael adverts on the telly and it’s 1996 all over again!
So I had predicted that ‘When We Were Young’ would be the last single to round off Progress, it just seemed fitting. However, I’m bloody thrilled Robbie has left, I can’t wait for him to get back on form with his solo stuff. When he’s on top form there isn’t an entertainer on the planet, except Pink, who comes close.
I guess I’ll probably write about the Take That weekend in Croke Park in May, when I got to see them twice. All I’ll say for now was that was one of the most special weekends ever. Even if we missed the Robster’s fingertips by ten centimetres.
Progress Live DVD is due for release on November 21st.
The Battle is the latest single from Storyfold‘s debut album ‘Rocket Science’ and the band have made a video which showcases artists from two different areas. Barry ‘Jazz’ Finnegan is an amazing artist and I’ve been keenly following his ever growing portfolio in Facebook.
The video itself was produced by Army of Id and I just adore their work. It always helps too when the boss is a nice guy. What do I think of the band? You can read my review of Rocket Science to find out!
Today’s recommended free download comes from Limerick’s finest ‘Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters’ It’s the new single from their debut album ‘The Devil In Music’.
Really like it and for some reason it reminds me of Everclear’s track from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet. ‘Local God’.
Here’s the video
