  • Unlawful Killing: First Public Screening At Galway Film Fleadh

Unlawful KillingThis is quite a coup. ‘Unlawful Killing‘ is Keith Allen’s film about the cover up by the British Establishment of the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales Dodi Fayed and Henri Paul, their driver, after a car chase in Paris in August 1998. This film cannot be shown in the UK for legal reasons.

‘Unlawful Killing’ was shown in a private screening at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year but will have it’s first public screening at the Galway Film Fleadh on Wednesday 6th July.

  • Tune of The Week 24/06/2011: Metronomy

Quite simply this is brilliant and I love the Club Tropicana/Rio vibe to the video, which was directed by David Wilson, even though it was shot in Torquay. Beautifully stylized, enormously funny!

Taken from the album ‘The English Rivieria’,which has quickly become one of the soundtracks to the summer, this week’s Tune of The Week is Metronomy and The Bay.

  • Carosel: I’m Sorry Video

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of this new video from Carosel during the week. It’s hard to describe, honest, painful, I dunno, the first time I saw it it gave me tingles. The video perfectly captures the mood and vulnerability of the song. Bravo. Can someone just not snap these pair up ? They get better all the time.
