This is cool, Social Media Megastar Keenan Cahill is joined by San Francisco Giants, Brian Wilson and Cody Ross and also by Team Mascot Lou Seal. Together they do their thing along to Taio Cruz’s Dynamite. All for a fundraiser! Deadly!

  • Keywest: Back In Your Arms Review

keywest back in your armsKeywest are one of those bands who I’ve heard about, seen their stuff online but didn’t really know anything else. ‘Back In Your Arms’ is the first single to be taken from their debut album ‘The Message’, due for release later this year.

The band have been working with Mark Needham (The Killers. Fleetwood Mac) so I was expecting a polished pop song. That’s what I got. The track starts with a breathy vocal not dissimilar to Enrique’s style. A drum beat drives the song to its chorus crescendo. It’s only then that full instrumentation is used.  If you crossed U2 and The Script, you’d get Keywest. Drums and guitar seem to be very U2 influenced, with a hint of the Edge’s guitar sound and style. (more…)

  • X-Men: First Class Trailer

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender star in X-Men: First Class which will be in theatres in June. We’ve seen Fassbender as a Badass before in his role as Azazeal in Hex so he should be a good counterbalance to McAvoy. (Edit: Just noticed Nicholas Hoult is in this too, better known as Tony from the original Skins)

Matthew Vaughn finally gets to direct an X-Men movie, he dropped out of directing ‘The Last Stand‘ in 2006, given the amazing job he did with Kick Ass.. I think we’re safe!

  • Orchestral George Michael ?

George Michael The Point Depot Dublin 2006 nessymonI’ll keep it short, maybe I should start a George Michael blog? That might be a tad stalkerish though.

Georgie Boy has said on twitter that he wouldn’t be doing the arena thing again. Fair enough. What he did say was his shows would be different. This news, though, made me go WOW!

According to French website, ‘ChartsinFrance‘ the ‘about to be confirmed’ shows of October 3 and 4 in the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy, will have George accompanied by a symphony orchestra going through his repetoire.

    Two words: Wow, yummy!

Here’s one of my favourite George Michael songs, from ‘Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1’,

    This is ‘Something to Save’.
