  • Tune of The Week: 25/03/2011

Last week we heard the news that Ben from Fenech-Soler was diagnosed with early stage testicular cancer. Cancer is something that touches us all and can effortlessly turn your world upside down. I’ve liked what I’ve heard from Fenech Soler and the guys have said that all proceeds from their next single ‘Stop and Stare’ will go to The Teenage Cancer Trust.

The band have postponed their upcoming UK tour but fingers crossed Ben will be in flying form for the festival Season. Here’s the video for Stop and Stare directed by Chris Sweeney.

  • Interview with Alister from Cloud Control

Cloud ControlI had heard the name ‘Cloud Control‘ floating around the internet for a while and I was delighted to see them when they opened for The Naked and Famous in Dublin a few weeks ago. I found their psychedelic harmonious pop songs to be a breath of fresh air. I had the opportunity to chat with front man Alister, to find out about the Australian Music Prize and moving to the UK.
