  • Happy St. Patrick’s Day

This morning started with Me and Maeve_10 trying to figure out which of us was less Irish. Maeve reckons she won cos I like gaelic sports and I spoke some Irish on the radio (badly) last week.

To show how Irish we are, we headed into The Jameson Distillery to meet PCon and Dibs from KNBR, San Francisco, my favourite Sports Radio station on the planet. We then went to a lovely Indian for lunch, I’m now at Home watching This is England.

    Have a good one!

  • Vicar St? Wasn’t Expecting That!

Jamie Lawson - Wasnt Expecting That AlbumOk, it’s the first time I’ve used that line. Jamie  Lawson announced his biggest gig yet with a headliner in Vicar St on May 5th.

The gig will come just four weeks after his album ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’ hits the shops on April 1st.

I’m delighted for Jamie, so much has happened for him since Nessycast #1. He signed to Universal Records in Ireland and is talking to labels in other territories too.

Tickets for Vicar St go on sale tomorrow March 16th at 9am

RedRadar_animated-gifI meant to write about this earlier. Damn flu! I met Roisin from RedRadar in The Grand Social on the night of The Digital Socket Awards.

We had a bit of a chat about what RedRadar is and she asked if I’d like to get involved, RedRadar is part of the online section of Young People’s Programming in RTE and the website covers music and fashion.

So a couple of weeks ago I went in to record some video for them. I spoke about some album artwork and about my defining music moment. I’m not going to give away what I spoke about but I will say I couldn’t decide on one piece of artwork. (more…)
