  • Koh Restaurant Review

KOHOn what was a unusual Saturday afternoon off, it was decided that we would head into Dublin city centre, for a wander and a bite to eat. After checking out a few of the restaurants in Millennium Walk, Dublin 1, we opted for Koh, serving Asian/Thai cuisine. What a good decision.

The Cocktail lounge is a big room, despite only having windows at the front of the building, the colours make the area more relaxing and sauve, not dark.

The staff are nice and polite, the other diners tended to be female, although there were a few blokes (obviously dragged in from shopping). It’s also nice to see a proper mixologist at work making cocktails for a relaxing Saturday afternoon.

We decided to go for 3 starters for €12 and a main course each, which worked out at a tenner. Starters were ribs, gyoza and fish rolls. Just enough for starters and tasty as hell.

Mains were Tofu Pad Thai and Prawn Pad Thai. The Tofu Pad Thai was the nicest dish I’ve had in a long time. The flavours of the noodles, nuts and parsley sprinkled with lime juice were like having a tastebud party. The option of mixing your own amount of bamboo shoots and nuts, added to the experience giving each mouthful a different variation of glorious taste.

Add two glasses of vino and a diet coke to the order and the bill comes to a reasonable €45.

So relaxing, so nice, I’ll be back!

You can also take Cocktail masterclasses in Koh, which I’m sure would be a howl and loads of fun for a gang!
