This week’s guests on The London Ear are Munky. Munky are a Dublin based band who are releasing a new single ‘One in Five’ from their forthcoming EP ‘Un, Deux, Trois, Cat’.

All proceeds from ‘One in Five’ are going to the DRCC. According to the band, ”100% of the proceeds of this song will be going to the Dublin Rape Crisis Center forever”

The London Ear // Show 238 with Áine

Áine is an Irish singer songwriter from Cavan, who is signed to Parlophone Records. She has just released her ‘Blue Valentine’ EP and is doing a show in Paperdress Vintage London on March 26th.

It was great to catch up with Áine and get her insight into the workings of the music industry. She has also been collaborating with a number of different songwriters, so it was a great opportunity to catch up and find out how that works.

You can find out more at her website, on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Spotify.

The London Ear // Show 237 with Gráinne Hunt

Happy St Patrick’s weekend! Yes, It’s gone from a day to a whole weekend and sure, why not?! Everyone wants to be Irish!

It was so great to catch up with Gráinne Hunt on this week’s episode of The London Ear. She’s quite a busy lady with two new music releases this year. She’s also quietly one of the hardest working independent Irish artists that I know. I honest don’t know where she gets her energy from.

If you’re off to see Kila in the London Irish Centre this weekend, get there early as Gráinne will be opening up the show.

You can find out more about Gráinne and her music on her website, Facebook and Twitter.

The London Ear // Show 236 with James Farrell, Lewisham Irish Centre

On today’s show was delighted to chat to James Farrell, Chair of the Lewisham Irish Centre. I live about 15 minutes walk from the centre and only really got to know about the place in the last six months or so.

I’m really impressed by what happens at the centre. It’s a centre not only for the Irish community but for the wider Lewisham community also.

To find out more about the Lewisham Irish Centre or to get involved, you can go to lewishamirish.org. You can also find the group on Facebook and Twitter.
