It was really great to chat to Shea from Orchid Collective, we were having a great chat before I even pressed record!

The lads are currently doing a few gigs across the UK, finishing up in London on November 24th with a gig in The Islington.

Have to say that I’m really glad I’ve chatted to Shea, the band are great and seem so down to earth. They are more than welcome to come back onto the show at any stage.

You can check out the band on their website, Facebook and Twitter.

It was lovely to catch up with Matthew Sutton from Tayne on this week’s episode of The London Ear. I love Matthew’s DIY ethos with Tayne and I also love how his marketing brain works. Have a listen to our chat to hear about how Matthew used his day job as a tattoo artist to help promote the release of his album ‘Breathe’.

‘Breathe’ is out now on Strange Brew records and if you’re in London, there are some physical copies (vinyl – drool) in Rough Trade Records.

The album has been described as “an aural assault that welds moody, atmospheric vocals, punishing guitars, and overwhelming electronics, to pulsating rhythms; creating a unique listening experience”. Totally true.

Also, I genuinely do not know where Matthew gets his energy from. He’s also in Sweat Threats! I’m tired just thinking about it all!

You can find out more about Tayne on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
