  • Costello feat G.I.: Young Apprentice (Video)

It’s been a great couple of days for Irish hiphop now Costello drops his track from his forthcoming album Illosophical. Some nice shots of D11 in there 🙂

  • Lethal Dialect: LD50 Part 2 (Album Preview)

lethal dialectDublin rapper, Lethal Dialect is wasting no time and gearing up for the release of LD50 Part 2 in 2012. The first album was released earlier this year and I had the pleasure of having Lethal Dialect and his collaborator Costello in for a live session in February DCUfm when Culture Cafe lived there. Awesome session, must put it online.

LD is again working with G.I. and Jonnyboy and has guests Costello, Mouse, Tommy Hand and Wila Lee on the album. Absolutely loved the first album, going on this preview, the second one looks to shine as bright.

    Episode 47:

This was one of those shows had made me leave the studio buzzing, I really enjoyed and I think I can safely say we had a first for DCUfm if not Irish college radio when Lethal Dialect and Costelloe dropped some rhymes live in the studio. (see the lingo IS sorted !). It was lovely to chat to Daire O’Reilly also and get an insight into the Each Small Candle Project.

Really enjoyed the show, would love to get more hip hop in, if you’re a hip hop/rap artist get in touch!

    Here’s what happened:

    1. DJ Flip & Freezemaster Slick: Crossroads

    2. Miles Kane: Closer

    3. Interpol: Lights (This week’s Recommended Free Legal Download available from www.interpolnyc.com)

    4. Chat with Lethal Dialect and Costello

    5. Lethal Dialect (feat Tommy Hand): Hold You Down

    6. Lethal Dialect Feat Costello: The Beginning (live)

    7. Costello feat Lethal Dialect: Philosophical

    8. Lethal Dialect: Far From The End

    9. Chat with Daire O’Reilly about Each Small Candle CD project for Sosad.ie

    10. Daire O’Reilly: Oh Darlin

    11. The Minutes: Black Keys

I’m going to see if I can get it sorted to include the live tracks included in the podcast. That would be cool!
