Daft Punk feat Giorgio Moroder – New Track Posted

EDIT: OK,I can’t hear any audio at the moment so I can’t check but I’ve had a couple of people get in touch to tell me this track is by Paul and it’s called B2Luv. – If that’s the case, lots of us have been duped. I still think it sounds like Le Galaxie – will update as soon as I can confirm/deny…nessy

How much awesome can you fit in one track? Well Daft Punk and Giorgio Moroder are giving it a good bash at raising that level. On a Daft Punk fan blog, they say this is a ‘Possible track of the new Daft Punk album 2013.’

One thought ran through my mind listening to this.. is this Le Galaxie in disguise?

EDIT: Dec 5 – yeah it looks like this was too good to be true.. ah well, can’t win them all and I’ve never heard this track before yesterday.

  • Daft Punk: Tron Legacy OST Stream

Yummy! I’ve been looking forward to this since I saw the Tron Legacy Preview. From what I saw the movie is visually stunning and would need a huge soundtrack to accompany it. The other reason I was looking forward to it is because even with all their success and despite working together since the mid ninties, Daft Punk have only released three studio albums and I was dying to know what way they would take the soundtrack, would they go orchestral or electronic.. It’s a bit of both.

Downside of getting this stream.. I want to see the movie…NOW!

Edit: 29/11/2010 Seems that the stream has been taken down 🙁 Disappointing, I was only listening to this and hour ago..

  • Tron Legacy: Preview Review

On Thursday morning I was one of the lucky one to see 23 minute preview of Tron Legacy which is due for theatre release in December.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, Tron Legacy is the sequel to the 1982 movie Tron. The 23 minutes of what I saw contained a selection of scenes from the first half of the movie, which gave a rough idea of the script. We were told by the Walt Disney rep that it wasn’t the final audio mix and that Daft Punk were supplying the soundtrack.

Visually, Tron Legacy looks stunning. The 3D technology makes what I saw completely amazing. The colours are so vivid and electrifying. It’s only a matter of time before there is a game based on all this and perhaps something featuring the suits worn by the characters. Extremely visually striking. The trailers currently on the net don’t come close to being able to compliment the movie.

Can’t wait to see the full thing.
