Hello London, hello Ireland, hello Europe. On this week’s episode of The London Ear, I spoke to Brian and Donnacha from the mighty Meltybrains? They are such a good band.

It’s a while since I’ve seen them live but I, and you, have the chance to sort that out this week. They are coming to London for an event in Rich Mix in Shoreditch along with Loah and Emmet Kirwan, which is being billed Alternative Ireland. Should be a great night.

Meltybrains? are also embarking on a mammoth project this year as the are releasing 12 singles… they’ve already released three. Nine more to come.

The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM // Show 193 with Pursued by Dogs

The self titled album from Pursued by Dogs is definitely one of my favourites of the year, so I was delighted to be able to chat to Suzanne from the band on today’s episode of The London Ear.

The Dublin based band have been working with the extremely talented James Darkin on the album and really have come up with a gem. Suzanne tells me about the evolution of the band from DOGS to Pursued by Dogs and how she became involved with the group.

You can find out more on their website, Twitter and Facebook, Insta and of course Spotify.

On today’s show, I got to chat to Morgan from Motorcycle Display Team. This week the band released their second album ‘Yours Probably’.

I got to know the band when I was still living in Dublin, where Morgan is originally from also. It has taken the lads a little while to get round to releasing this album and Morgan explains how a change of personnel and life commitments added to that.

Yours Probably is available to purchase from Amazon and to stream on Spotify.

You can find out more on the band’s website, Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks also to Christian Homan, presenter of Twilight on RTÉ Pulse, who choose Them There’s new track Blaze as one to play on The London Ear this week. You can keep up to date with Twilight here.
