The Minutes stream new track ‘Cherry Bomb’

    TheMinutes

After what seems like eons, The Minutes have finally revealed the first track from their second album ‘Live Well, Change Often’ which will come out on Model Citizen records in May this year.

The trio have lost none of their loud rock n roll tendencies but Cherry Bomb seems more refined that the music from their debut ‘Marcata’ and dare I say, there seems like there’s a nod to the glam rock era in there. Me likes?

    So, what ye think?

Nessycast #10: Interview with The Minutes

It’s been a while since there’s been a nessycast so no better way than getting it going again than by chatting to The Minutes.

I met up with Shane, Tom and Mark while they were doing some promo for Arthur’s Day on September 27th. Later on that night, they rocked the Grand Social while supporting Primal Scream. Sit back, relax with a cuppa and have a listen.

If you’re at work, or at your Granny’s house, you might be better off saving your boss/Granny from lots of curses by using some headphones!

It is rock n roll though!

Check out The Minutes on tour across the UK and Ireland this November/December.

Tune of the Week 27/07/2012: The Minutes

The MinutesOver the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to get to know a lot of Irish bands and one that stood out for me since I heard the first tracks they recorded were The Minutes. Their debut album ‘Marcata’ is one of the best Irish rock n roll albums ever, I adore it.

Since before the release of the album the guys, haven’t stopped gigging their asses off and have just announced that they will be on tour with The Hives in December and will also pack a show in Whelan’s on December 7th.

Time flies and The Minutes have just released their ‘fourth and last song’ from Marcata, hopefully that means that there will be a new album from The Minutes sometime in 2013.

‘Gold’ is this week’s Tune of the Week and is available now on iTunes

  • The Minutes Premier New Video For Heartbreaker

The Minutes have unveiled a new video for Heartbreaker. The vid was premiered on DIY in the UK and seeing as Marcata is due for release there at the end of January, a UK/London video was a crafty choice! The trio take off for a tour in February and March that will take them to Russia and all over the UK, first off though they play The Academy in Dublin on February 11th.
