  • I’ve just moved!

So this is the first post on nessymon.com. I’ve moved all the posts from ‘de olde blogg’ over to here.

It will take a few days for me to get all the painting and decorating done and take everything out of the boxes but the site should be all fancy and sparkly in a few days.

If you are currently a subscriber on ‘de olde blogg’ through an RSS feed you will need to update, sorry.

If you are currently subscribed to ‘de olde blogg’ through email there’s no need to re-subscribe to nessymon.com I’ll do that for you. Don’t worry you won’t get two mails of everything, I promise.

Woohoo! Happy new Website to me plus I got a new haircut whoo!

  • Want to be on my new Podcast?

In January, this blog will be moving over to nessymon.com. When it moves, I am going to try doing a podcast every week or fortnight, covering music, arts and entertainment. The aim of the podcast is to provide another platform for musicians, artists, authors, painters. I will chat with them about influences, goals, all that sort of stuff.

It doesn’t matter where you are living, Dublin or Darwin, through the magic of the internet, I’m hoping to chat with people from all around our little globe.

If you would like to get involved please email me at: nessycast@gmail.com

    Thanky!

  • QR Codes and Scanlife

    Nessymon.com Scanlife

These little QR codes have become a slight fascination of mine since I was first introduced to them by Hitman Lord and especially lately, I was thinking of putting one on new business cards.

So one sleepless night I decided (tonight) I decided I’d make a QR code for nessymon.com I went to Scanlife and set up an account, which took all of thirty seconds. I literally out my domain url in and then hit create. This post has taken longer to write.

I was given the option of downloading and was given embedding the code to link to the code. I opened the code and immediately scanned it the Scanlife app on the andriod, I can can see why it’s called a Quick Response code, I was immediately taken to nessymon.com I also tried it with the Barcode Scanner app and had the same result.

Brilliant! I couldn’t believe that the database for these codes was updated instantly and effective immediately. These codes will be able to do everything for us shortly. Once it’s figured out how we can verify paying for goods, we could actually be going for The Fifth Element.

  • nessymon

My real name is Vanessa Monaghan – everyone calls me nessy

So its not hard to see where nessymon came from

As in nessymon.wordpress.com I’ve decided to change my twitter name to @nessymon and I’ve changed my facebook to facebook.com/nessymon

Over the next few weeks nessymon.com should be up and running too…

Reason? Once upon a time a friend/lecturer said that if you could find a unique name on the internet that was a good thing… When I google NessyProductions you get a couple of Nessyproductions from around the world. I’m still going to use NessyProductions.eu for work but for personal stuff and building up a personal online presence nessymon.com is a great option.

When I google nessymon – everything that comes up is weirdly strangely and ego boostingly referring to me..

    🙂 …nessy out!
