Culture Cafe on RTE 2XM Show 78: 16/01/2013

This week’s show was full of female voices, not sure that has ever happened on Culture Cafe before. 1. DJ Flip & Freezemaster Slick: Crossroads
    2. Peace: Wraith
    3. The 1975: Chocolate
    4. Hawklion: Gold and Silver
    5. Chat with Mary Fahy
    6. The Tea Street Band: Disco Lights
    7. Chat with Jennette Donnelly, artforartsake.org
    8. Everything Everything: Kemosabe
    9. Atoms for Peace: Judge, Jury and Executioner
    10. Rebekka Karijord: Use My Body While It’s Still Young
    11. Chat with Rebekka Karijord
    12. Rebekka Karijord: Multicoloured Hummingbird
    13. Booka Shade: Haleshop

Tune of the Week: Jan 11 2013: Peace

Peace_bannerThis was going to be last week’s Tune of the week before Miles Kane swooped in with his new track ‘Give In’. That hasn’t diminished my love for this track though. Peace are a four piece from Birmingham who made the BBC Sound of 2013 final list alongside Kodaline and Little Green Cars amongst others.

They released their ‘Delicious’ EP in September and have been touring with The Vaccines and the awesome Tame Impala. If you’re in the UK, they’ll be on tour in February as part of the NME Awards Tour alongside the aforementioned Miles Kane, Django Django and Palma Violets. Miss at your peril!

‘Wraith’ is the new single from Peace and is out in Ireland today, it features quite an addictive yet guitar line and the more I listen to it, the more I like it.

The video features the lads watching some exotic dancers shaking their ass so it might be best not to watch this at work..
