I’ve missed a few days here and there in #Project365. It’s actually really hard to get a photo up every day. I still will get 365 uploaded before April 1 2020.

Lots of people use the #Project365 hastag so I’m also using #nessymon365 so you’ll be able to find all the photos on instagram that way too.

Today is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy. The Imperial War Museum have had this bad boy in London Bridge station all week in the run up to today. Thousands lots their lives and yes, I hate war but I love planes, which is why I stopped to take some photos of this spitfire. I took these last night when there were less people around. On Saturday, the crowds of people there meant it was a bit difficult to get a couple of shots. Amongst all the voices, I heard an American accent. This lady’s reaction was to ask where the guns were as the plane was no good without guns. We, as the human race, have learned fcuk all. B.M.P.P. Just incase you forget where you are. Brighton Marine Palace and Pier. It carried that name from when it opened in 1899 until 2000 when it was decided to call it simply ‘Brighton Pier’. Ok, so I admit it. I’m kinda besotted by Brighton and already planning to get back there. It was lovely to be able to get out of London, even for a day, and find some new and interesting things to photograph. If you’re ever in Brighton, walk down the pier and on the way back, walk though the amusement arcade. It really is an overload for the senses. Flashing lights, a cacophony of sounds, music from everywhere, coins falling into slot machines, and occasionally you’ll hear a winner get their treasure. Then look up, the place is housed in the most beautiful structure with its domed roof and steel bones, beautifully painted in marine greeny blue. Solstice sunset. We went to a movie and were on the way home. The sunlight was amazing as it bounced off the buildings in Canary Wharf. We get off the train at Hither Green to see a stunning sunset and the sun slip below the horizon. I love the shadows and colours in the clouds and the orangey glow the sunset cast over everything. Simply beautiful. There’s always something a little eerie about being on a tube carriage on your own, especially at night. But, I do love an empty carriage for a photo op. I had a busy evening. I met my friend Louise after work for chats. Then, I had the privilege of voting twice in the European Elections. Once for myself and a proxy vote for my friend. I legged it from one polling station in South London, for the proxy vote, to my local polling station. I completed my vote with six minutes to spare. Westminster Pier. I’m not quite sure what this green thing did in its heyday. It doesn’t look like it was a lamp post. Maybe it held ropes for tying boats to the pier. I dunno but fast forward to 2019 and I love the decayed stickers and the bit of rust in the handrail. Centre framed. We went to IKEA in Greenwich. Main reason was it’s beside the Odeon and we were going to see #Rocketman. Let me tell you, this IKEA is swish! The place is just so relaxing. I spotted that there was a roof terrace so once we had full bellies, we went to investigate. The place is gorgeous. Room to have your food upstairs, with a full wall door that opens to a beautiful terrace. Room to sit and chill, room to lie down, on the loungers or on the grass and some viewpoints of London I hadn’t seen before. They are also growing lettuce, onions, chives and strawberries in raised beds. Amazing space to come and chill out. I would definitely go hide out here for a few hours! Great place to get some writing done! Late night love. Lewisham. I think the station in Lewisham has the biggest gaps anywhere in the TFL network.. they’re massive! Woah! You thought I had given up, hadn’t you? You can’t get rid of me that easily. But seriously, the short week, just generally being busy and not taking as many photos as I had hoped last weekend just left me a bit blurgh. Fast forward to this evening, I’m at at meeting and locked up the building, only to find my friend Nick was still inside and even though I asked if everyone was out. Panic ensued but let’s just say there was a happy ending. Nick’s free and I am now the owner of a 12 inch screwdriver. Here’s some night workers at our local train station. Summer nights, warm air and long evenings. Not tonight though, tonight is cloudy, grey and kinda chilly. To be honest, it’s the kinda evening for a duvet. I took this photo last week. I love the colours. The sky was a gorgeous shade as I made my way home. Fun fact: I once painted my bedroom in Co. Meath a light purple / lilac colour.
