The music industry has lost another great, they’re getting younger all the time which is really sad. We have to remember a couple of things. How can anyone really cope with being so much in the public eye for most of their adult life. Unfortunately this can lead to depression and escapism through drink and drugs. Depression is a mental illness. Anyone can suffer, we need to talk about it more. Aware can help.

It’s with great sadness today that we learn of the death of Amy Winehouse. So talented and just 27. Unfortunately she joins a list of musical greats who died at that age. Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Jimi Hendrix. Amy was a phenomenal singer and songwriter and had well documented problems with drugs and alcohol. She also suffered from emphysema.
It’s haunting that ‘Back to Black’ features a funeral cortege and well, ‘Rehab’ speaks for itself. Let’s remember her for the talent she was. When she was on form, she was on fire.
