The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM Show 165 with Sarah Hanly

On this week’s episode of The London Ear, I speak to Sarah Hanly, an Irish actor based in London whose play ‘Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks’ is running as part of the Maiden Speech Feminist Festival in Theatre N16 in Balham.

My chat Sarah deals with some of the issues from ‘Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks’ including eating disorders and mental health issues.

If you need to talk, call these people

Sarah mentioned a couple of organisations during our chat that you can call and chat to if you feel you would like to speak to someone.

B-eat.co.uk is a UK based organisation that helps people beat eating disorders. You can find out more from their website or call them on 0808 801 0677 from the UK.

You can also get in touch with the Samaritans. Their number 116 123 is available to both UK and Ireland residents for free.

If you feel you need to speak to someone, please do call these numbers or chat to a friend. You’re not alone and we want you to be healthy and well.

And…. we’re back! So far a couple of weeks out due to a broken thumb, it was great to get back into the groove. I’m not going to lie, after three weeks, I can only type with my right hand for about 15 minutes before it starts to get sore again. And that’s not even using my thumb.

What’s on the show this week? Great music and great chat!
