I made a boo boo and forgot to tweet/Facebook about today’s show – Put it down to me being really important in my new job 🙂

On the show today, I chatted to Jim Lockey and to Julie Martin of The Would Be’s. This week’s featured album is Morcheeba with Head Up High, their eighth studio album.

Also with thanks to MCD, I have two tickets to give away to Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun this Friday night, September 27th, in the Academy 2 in Dublin. Not to confuse everything, I’ve details about the competition here.

    Here’s what happened:

    I. Intro
    2. Laura Welsh: Undiscovered
    3. The Salt Flats: If You Leave
    4. Morcheeba: Gimme Your Love
    5. Chat with Jim Lockey of Jim Lockey and The Solemn Sun
    6. Jim Lockey and The Solemn Sun: England’s Dead
    7. Gavin James: I Remember
    8. The Love Junkies: Maybelene
    9. Stags: Stealing My Heart
    10. Chat with Julie Martin of The Would Be’s
    11. The Would Be’s: Beautiful Mess
    12. Cat Dowling: Something Else
    13. Morcheeba: Face of Danger
    14. Bell X1: Careful What You Wish For

Thanks for listening, really appreciate it. If you know an Irish band living or touring London / UK tell them to get in touch, I’d love to chat to them. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to enter the Jim Lockey Competition.

I’ve included a Soundcloud link to the show below, just as The London Ear is showing up under my old show name ‘Culture Cafe’ on the RTE player. This is for demonstration purposes only and no copyright breaches are intended. The file will be removed on Sep 28th.

Thanks for listening. Don’t forget the show is broadcast every Wednesday at 1400 and is repeated at 2100 on Sunday nights.

    Thanks for listening!
