Competition: Win Tickets to The Chevin at Academy 2, May 16th

The ChevinThe Chevin return to Academy 2 in Dublin on May 16th. Last time they played in The Academy, they opened for Airbourne Toxic Event in November 2011. Since then things have gone pretty well for the Liverpool band, who are also opening this week for Franz Ferdinand on their Irish dates. So well in fact that the quartet have already pencilled a date with none other than U.S. television legend, David Letterman for August this year. Their debut single, Champion, had a huge sound and the band recreate it really well live. Their next single ‘Drive’ is due out at the end of the month.

I have a pair of tickets for the gig on Wednesday night, all you got to do is make sure you like my Facebook page and leave a nice comment below.

Competition will close on Wednesday morning at 11am and remember the gig is Wednesday evening so make sure you check your email during the day incase you’ve won. Bon Chance!

  • Competition: Fingal Film Festival Gala Screening and Award Night Tickets

Fingal-Film-Fesrival-Final-Logo-The good and kind folk at Fingal Film Festival, which runs from March 21-23rd, have been kind enough to give me two pairs of tickets for the Opening Gala night on March 21st and two pairs of tickets for the Awards night on March 23rd.

First up, The Opening Gala Night is March 21st and features a screening of Sean Penn and Frances McDormand’s new film, ‘This Must Be The Place’. It takes place at UCI Blanchardstown at 9pm but its a Gala Screening so I’d recommend being there before that.

Second, the awards night takes place in The Wright Venue in Swords and will feature Eddie Naessens as MC. Emtertainment will be provided by The Young Folk Band supported by Machine Gun Baby. The event starts at 7pm and runs until about 10pm so it’s perfect for popping to Swords after work on Friday.

To be in with a shout of winning one of these pairs of tickets, tell me what your favourite film is and which tickets you would prefer, it’s always good too if you like my Facebook page. Competition will close on Tuesday March 20th at 5pm. Bon Chance!
