So, it’s Ireland’s turn to have a bank holiday this weekend. And, as I said before, everyone here in the UK is very jealous right now, especially when we don’t have a bank holiday until the end of August next.

On show 197 of The London Ear, I took the time to play some of the awesome new music that’s out there at the moment.

The self titled album from Pursued by Dogs is definitely one of my favourites of the year, so I was delighted to be able to chat to Suzanne from the band on today’s episode of The London Ear.

The Dublin based band have been working with the extremely talented James Darkin on the album and really have come up with a gem. Suzanne tells me about the evolution of the band from DOGS to Pursued by Dogs and how she became involved with the group.

You can find out more on their website, Twitter and Facebook, Insta and of course Spotify.

On this week’s episode of The London Ear, I chat with musician, New Atlas, known to his friends as Owen McKenna. The Liverpool based, Irish musician has been making some waves in the UK media with his music. His new single ‘dizzi’ is a whopper!

I really enjoyed our chat, it was great to speak to someone who was so positive, so upbeat. It rubs off! New Atlas is coming to London for a Sofar Sounds gig on May 5. He’s also playing a Belfast show as part of the BBC Music The Biggest Weekend in Oh Yeah Centre, Belfast on the 19th May. You can grab tickets for both through links on Owen’s Facebook page.
