It’s a couple of years since I last spoke to Matt Taylor on The London Ear. Matt is an Irish pop singer-songwriter and lives in Brighton (no, I’m not jealous – who am I kidding? I am jealous)
Matt has a new single out called ‘Drip Drip’, we spoke about that, his travels after having Covid last summer, as well as the future of Matt Taylor the pop star.
If you would like to find out more about Matt, check out his Instagram and do follow on Spotify.

Episode 371. It was a pleasure to chat to Jaime Nanci for this week’s episode of The London Ear. Jamie is such an interesting colourful character and has an amazing voice. I’m delighted that I had the opportunity to chat to him.
Jaime now lives in Valencia, Spain. It was lovely to catch up and find out about life in Spain and Jaime’s musical journey. It’s always very appreciated when an interviewee is so open and honest about their life and work. I love having the space on RTE 2XM to allow interviews like this and not having to rush.
You can find out more about Jaime and his new single ‘Escalante Street (Take Me Dancing) on his website, JaimeNanci.com .

Happy New Year, welcome to a new one. Well, we’ve managed to get out of 2021, fairly bumped and bruised but we’ve managed it! Hope you’ve had a lovely new year. I’m delighted to share an hour of gorgeous music for episode 369 of The London Ear, which happened to fall on New Year’s Day.
By the way, am I the only one who has a ritual of listening to U2’s album ‘The Unforgettable Fire’. Every January 1, without fail. Which also reminds me, I heard the news reporter on BBC London / South East this morning pronounce the name Phelim as Feelin, which gave me a giggle over my Weetabix.

We made it! The last episode of The London Ear on RTE 2XM for 2021. It seems like the shortest year ever. Probably because nothing happened. But, I’m now glad it’s over.
So while your Christmas dinner was cooking, The London Ear was playing an hour of festive tunes from Irish artists. As always, if you like an artist or song you heard in today’s programme, if you can afford it, buy the song, or follow the artists on socials and share their music. It will be appreciated.
Thank you!
Thank you all so much for listening throughout the year. This was my tenth year on RTE 2XM and I’m truly grateful that I have the platform to share Irish music and new Irish artists. I’m looking forward to sharing more in 2022. It really means so much when you share, like, comment, or messaged about the show. It makes it all worthwhile.
