Darren Reid is Boy Kid Cloud who makes melodic electronica and he has revealed a cover of one of his hero’s tracks, Prince’s ‘I Would Die 4 U’. It really is quite something, he manages to retain the old school Prince sound but brings it bang up to date with his excellent production skills.
Mr Reid also released his ‘Better Version of Me’ EP earlier this year. I’m liking what I’m hearing.

If you haven’t already got this now’s your chance. This is Girl Band and their EP France 98. If I remember correctly David Beckham got himself into some trouble or other at France 98, anyway… This is some great post punk noise from Dara Kiely, Alan Duggan, Daniel Fox and Adam Faulkner. This makes me want to get up dance and act like a loon! Really enjoyable stuff. Get it here!

After taking a few days off this week, I thought I’d make a few changes to the blog, how the post are laid out on the homepage and changing the Free Music Category as there were some gems I didn’t cover because I only did it on a Monday.
Anyway to rectify that, I’m starting off today with some free music from Stereophonics. ‘In A Moment’ is dark and broody and I quite like it. It’s taken from the ‘phonics upcoming album ‘Graffiti On The Train’. You can grab it from Stereophonic’s Facebook page or from their website.
Go get your download and while it’s downloading, have a look at the video.
