  • Free Music Monday 19/09/2011: Villagers

VillagersI really didn’t have much of a choice when it came to deciding today’s recommended free music, it just had to be Villagers, ‘Cecelia & Her Selfhood’, which is available for free download from wearevillagers.com.

The track and it’s accompanying video were unleashed alongh with the news that Conor and his cohorts are taking a break from touring to concentrate on making new songs and getting artork together.

The simply awesome video was animated by Frenchman Adrien Merigeau, who is based in Ireland.

  • Free Music Monday 12/09/2011: Adam Cohen

Adam CohenI’ve loved Adam Cohen‘s voice since the first time I heard Cry Ophelia on Dawson’s Creek. (Yes I occasionally still listen to the soundtrack).

It’s seven years since we heard any new music from Adam , the last was with Low Millions and a cover of his Dad’s (Leonard) Take This Waltz for a Warchild album. He has a new album ‘Like A Man’ coming out in October and playing in Crawdaddy on November 4th. ‘What a Guy’ is available from Adam’s website.

Here’s the new video for the track:

The EP is the follow up to last year’s ‘Paraphrase Accolade’.
