The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM // Show 190 with Morgan from Motorcycle Display Team

On today’s show, I got to chat to Morgan from Motorcycle Display Team. This week the band released their second album ‘Yours Probably’.

I got to know the band when I was still living in Dublin, where Morgan is originally from also. It has taken the lads a little while to get round to releasing this album and Morgan explains how a change of personnel and life commitments added to that.

Yours Probably is available to purchase from Amazon and to stream on Spotify.

You can find out more on the band’s website, Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks also to Christian Homan, presenter of Twilight on RTÉ Pulse, who choose Them There’s new track Blaze as one to play on The London Ear this week. You can keep up to date with Twilight here.

The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM // Show 189 with Allan Dixon – @daxon

When I saw that Allan Dixon, (who you will find as daxon online) was in London last week, I had to get in touch to see if I could chat to him for The London Ear.

Allan is from Wicklow and a few years ago won a competition for ‘The best job in the world’, working for the Australian tourist board, literally showing everyone on the internet how fantastic a place Australia is.

From that, Allan built up an internet following, on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and has now made animal selfies a thing. He loves quokkas and it’s true he’s always smiling!

I was delighted to be able to chat, find out about his life, why he’s always smiling and his new book “Happy Quokkas with Allan Dixon”, which is about to be published in Japan.

You can find out more about Allan on his website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

So, finally January is over and we’re into February.

Chat with Matthew from Tayne and Sweat Threats

On today’s show, I spoke to musician and tattoo artist, Matthew Sutton about this musical project Tayne. Tayne released a single ‘Sacrifice’ that I’ve been playing on the radio. They’ve also been doing some gigs and will head across the Irish Sea to do some shows in two weeks time.

As if that wasn’t enough, Matthew is also a member of Sweat Threats, who released their new single, ‘Pop My Cherry’, yesterday. Also in the band is another previous guest on The London Ear, Swimmers Jackson.

Where do they get the time and energy?

You can find out more about Tayne on Facebook and Twitter.
You can find out about Sweat Threats on Facebook and Twitter also. Fancy that!
